As a chief component of the Bay Area Regional Economic Recovery Workplan, BACEI is now accepting proposals for projects or ideas that address regional strategic priorities while delivering stimulus to the economy. The proposal process is designed to add value to the Workplan, by enabling decision makers in Sacramento and Washington, DC to identify, from the large numbers of proposals that are received, those projects most likely to yield the highest short- and long-term economic benefit for the region. With this in mind, the request for proposals (RFP) outlined below is designed not only to aggregate proposals, but to relate specific project ideas to an integrated set of criteria that together constitute both a short- and long-term regional economic strategy Proposal Submission Process and Deadline The period for project submission has opened as of Monday, April 6. The submission deadline for all proposals is Friday, April 24 at 11:59 p.m. Proposals should be submitted to the Institute via our online tool at https://www.smartesurveys.com/2009-03-111-99DE/login.html. Log-in information is standard for all proposals. Username: bacei Information provided in your submission will be reviewed by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute and evaluated for inclusion in the Regional Workplan. Entities with a large number of projects may contact the Institute for an alternative submission tool.
